Loudon Township (Seneca County)

Ditch and/or Drainage Tile Grant

Trustees have set up a grant to encourage and aid residents to address drainage issues within the township.  A 10% grant, up to $2000, will be given for "Cooperative Group Drainage Tile and/or Ditch projects."  This is not applicable to petition projects.  Our goal is to have residents work together to save expense and time of a petititon project.  This is not for individual projects.

Whereas:  Sunny Farms Landfill is a Subtitle D Landfill located in Loudon Township, Seneca County, Ohio and 

Whereas: The residents of Loudon Township have expressed their concerns over the smell coming from the landfill and

Whereas: There are discrepancies in the Landfill's self-monitoring of hydrogen sulfide gas emissions when compared to the reading obtained by the Seneca County Health Department's testing and

Whereas: These concerns have raised questions about potential health issuess stemming from the current operations of the Landfill.

Therefore, be it resolved: The Loudon Township Trustees adopt this resolution opposing the renewal of the Sunny Farms Landfill permit and any further expansion of the Landfill until these issues are resolved and the odor issue is under control.

 The Board of Loudon Township Trustees will meet for a special meeting for a work session to update the handbook and road work discussion on May 1, 2019 at 6:30 pm at the Loudon Township Hall.
